SERVICES - LAWN CARE
5 Application Lawn Fertilizing Program

We use a high quality, slow release fertilizing mix specific to our area. First application around April 1st-May 15th, weather permitting. Treatments every 4-6 weeks. Treatments 1-4 are liquid, treatment 5 is a granular winterizer.

Liquid: This is the best way to control weeds in lawn. Provides fertilizer and weed control to lawn in liquid form which includes balanced liquid lawn fertilizer, micro-nutrient supplement, and control of dandelions and broadleaf weeds.

Watering tips for fertilizing treatments 1-4: You do not have to water immediately after application but you must water or receive some rain after application to wash the lawn fertilizer into the soil to feed the grass. In Spring and Fall your lawn needs 1 inch of water per week, from the middle of June to September 1st it needs 1 1/2 inches per week for lawns in Cheyenne. Water for extended length of time to get the water to soak deep into the soil.

Mowing tips: Please don't torture your lawn by mowing it short. Do your lawn a favor and set your mower at the highest setting possible. If you are recycling your grass (which we recommend), we still recommend cutting at a 3 inch height. Cut it high and leave it lie.

Granular: Provides fertilizer, only, to lawn in solid form. The fall application of lawn fertilizer will feed the growing root system of your lawn until early winter. Your lawn root system will then go into winter in a stronger, healthier condition, producing an earlier green up and more vigorous root system next spring. Turf agronomists proclaim a fall application of lawn fertilizer as the single most important feeding.

Weed Control

Weed varieties emerge at different times of the season and we can only control lawn weeds present at the time of application. Dandelion control takes approximately 14 to 21 days; other lawn weeds will take various lengths of time for control. Weeds emerging between rounds will be sprayed on the next scheduled round. We will only control standard lawn weeds that are present at the time of application. Some perennial weeds like thistle, creeping jenny, clover, etc. will require additional treatment.

This application will not control perennial or annual broadleaf grass. A spring application of pre-emergent is required to control crabgrass and foxtail.

Rock/Mulch Beds: Kill weeds to have sprouted in rock and mulch beds.
Driveways: Kill weeds to have sprouted along hard surface and dirt driveways and cracks.
Trees: Kill weeds that have sprouted around the base of trees.
Pre-emergent: Sterilize areas so no vegetation can grow for a growing season.

Pasture Spraying

Control and kill encroaching weeds that show up in your pastures.

Lawn Aeration

Aeration is the process of mechanically removing small plugs of thatch and soil from the lawn. The holes act like mini pipelines to move water, air and fertilizer to the root zone. The turf roots will then have more room to grow in the loosened soil and will spread out toward the pockets of water and nourishment. The soil plugs will dissolve during rainfall and watering enabling the soil to mix with the thatch layer, helping it to decompose and break down. Aeration leads to stronger root systems, better soil structure and a reduced thatch layer giving you a thicker, greener, healthier lawn.

Acreage/Field Mowing and Trimming

Mow acreages up to 20 acres.

Insect Control

Control and kill bugs located in the lawn.

Lawn Clean-Up

Leaf and branch clean-up.
